Arcs

Large formats (24x36) done quickly are fun for me. They allow you to make bold brushstrokes (or knife strokes), but still form an overall coherent picture. In smaller paintings, if you get too aggressive/fast with brush strokes you can more easily overdo it.

This is painted from a reference photo I took at sunset on a rainy afternoon, while driving near Woodburn OR.
